The creation of a new clothing range, whilst incredibly exciting, requires intense dedication, focus and time commitment, not to mention a significant amount of financial outlay. This was something print designer and ceramicist Erin Lightfoot discovered in the early stages of her career, after completing a degree in Fashion Design. Based in Brisbane, for almost a decade Erin has been dedicated to building a ceramics studio creating small ranges of jewellery and homewares with prints inspired by the Art Deco era. All work is made in house by Erin and a small skilled team who include her husband Tang and brother Jono.

Whilst the love for her work in ceramics has provided Erin with a sustainably viable business, the vision to develop her own clothing line using her unique textile print designs, has always lingered at the back of her mind  ever since she finished her fashion degree over 10 years ago. However, she was not sure if or when this might become a reality. Fast forward to the year that was Covid-19 and a conversation with the one and only Thuy Nguyen, CEO and Director of Fashion360, and the opportunity finally arose.

Thuy’s passion to nurture authentic local talent, encouraging them to create with care, consideration and integrity lends itself perfectly to that of Erin’s vision to create quality pieces locally, and the collaboration was born.

“Erin Lightfoot and the brand she represents possesses a distinctive appeal that has effortlessly complemented outfits and provided an interesting focal point to our shelves and tabletop surfaces for the last 10 years. Having known Erin for the last 9 years, my admiration for her integrity and dedicated work ethic is most aligned with what I envisage for Fashion360 ”, said Thuy.

The exclusive collaboration with Erin Lightfoot will see the creation of a bold new statement-wear collection of silk garments featuring Erin's much loved prints as seen on her namesake ceramic brand, designed at Fashion360 with the guidance of Thuy’s master-hand.

“I had to jump at the chance because I knew the resulting collection would be created with the eye for elegance and expertise in fit that comes from Thuy’s extensive fashion knowledge”, said Erin.

Geometric shapes combined with sculptural forms and movements are Erin’s base of inspiration alongside quirky colour mixes that translate to a sophisticated palette. The collection adopts clean refined silhouettes with the intention to instil life, happiness, and confidence to the wearer.

Our vision is to create beautifully executed garments that have consideration for the details of fit and wearability with focus on creating quality pieces, locally. It is an enormous undertaking but made all the more worthwhile for the love of cultivating quality and care in what we produce and deliver.

Stay tuned for the official launch of the Fashion360 x Erin Lightfoot collection in June followed by our three week pop up at the Mercedes-Benz Brisbane Boutique in Adelaide Street.
