What is ‘Your Own Project’?

Are you a designer, determined to turn your sketches into tangible products but lack the knowledge and skills to execute? Perhaps you are a pattern maker, reasonably confident but have a project that is outside the comfort zone of your current skill level? Or maybe you are a sewer, keen on upskilling your techniques to be across many more types of clothing applications for confidence and options?

Whether you fit into one of these categories or a hybrid of each, this is the perfect workshop for you!

Your Own Project Workshop’s vision is to provide designers, pattern makers, sewers and fashion lovers alike with the unique opportunity to work on YOUR specific project with the guidance and hands on help of an industry expert. Areas of assistance include Design, Patterns, Samples, Fitting, Grading, Spec Sheets and everything in between. This will ensure the best techniques are being used to execute and produce a quality garment for whatever purpose the project is intended for.

It means that you will not only get to learn and broaden your practical, technical knowledge, but you will also come away with outcomes specifically for your needs. Thuy will be there to help you through your entire process from concept to a resolved sample outcome with advice and tips, as well as hands on help when needed.

It’s basically learning at your own pace, for your own technical interests with your specific design outcome.

The bonus is being able to work in a small group (3 – 4) of other motivated likeminded participants and sharing news, ideas, industry tips as well as a meal which is provided for every session.

This workshop was first released in August 2022 and has been a favourite amongst Fashion360 participants!! Reserve your place before it is all booked out.

How it Works

Choose from 2 booking options:

1. Book 4 Sessions – Save 10%

  • Total: $684 + GST (normally $760)

  • Choose any 4 dates from the list below – they don’t need to be consecutive

  • Ideal if you’re working on a multi-step project or want structured progression

2. Book a Single Session

  • $190 + GST per day

  • Pick any Tuesday that suits you

  • Great for one-off support or a trial day

💬 You'll be asked to indicate your preferred date in the booking form

🕐 Bookings must be made at least 5 days prior to your session

✔️ Access to industrial machines: overlockers, cover stitch, Bernina industrial, fine baby lock
✔️ Pattern-making paper & threads (note: thread colour range may be limited)
✔️ Use of pattern tables and tools
