Growing up along Australia’s beautiful coastlines inspired Natasha to start Tasha Rui in 2016. She realised she couldn’t find any swimsuit that was original, eco, and with a flattering fit on the market. Natasha talked to friends and enquired within the industry and realised that the perfect swimsuit that she imagined was just not out there!
As a visual artist and designer this was a challenge that she was passionate to explore.
Natasha brings a fresh perspective to coastal fashion seasonally and has collaborated with some of Australia's best fashion makers to develop Tasha Rui's ECO SWIM range.
Industry queen Edwina McCann, Editor in Chief of Vogue Australia, encouraged her to develop the Tasha Rui label to share a unique point of view.
Inspiration comes from many sources. Tasha Rui’s unique prints are influenced by Natasha’s training in fine arts and nature. The expressive style of her painting, drawing and printmaking background shines through in the original prints that Tasha Rui uses in their garments and accessories.
